Mens Warehouse ~Tuxs

Prices were good and DH and I had a great experience. In fact, it was mush better then the experience we had a few months earlier with After-hours for a friend's wedding.

ETA: We used the one in Plainview but our Groomsmen were measured all over the place. PA, Huntington, Brooklyn, Plainview, and one other I forget where.

FH is using a small local shop that my family has been using since the 70s. All but one of our groomsmen are out of towners. They take everyone's name, give the groom a card to mail to each one and then the groomsmen get measured in a tux shop in THEIR hometown. It is a professional courtesy that tux shops all over the country do for each other - much like a fraternity if you will. Then the guys mail the card back and when they come in to town for the wedding, the tuxes are ready for them. Most decent shops have a tailor (a GOOD ONE) on the premises and will tweak any problem immediately thus saving themselves from a D- review on LIW. The shop we are using has all of its tuxes right there on site so if by some chance there IS an issue, it is resolved immediately.

People were renting tuxes for out of town groomsmen long before Men's Warehouse existed. Regardless of what people's experiences are/were (good OR bad) there are other options. Hope this helps.

normally i wouldn't comment on people who wait too long to do stuff because i am THE biggest procrstinator out there...but whoas, what are you waiting for?

I'm not using them- I hear mixed things and I just don't want to deal with it. B/C my wedding is in Feb and at the Fox Hollow and I got discounts at Dante's lined up. They said that OOT GM can go to any tux shop and get measured- like that other bride said.

FBIL got his tuxes there for his wedding and our experience was just fine. FH went to the one in Bayside and the one in Garden City and he liked them. His only issue was that they looked a little worn...I think if you order early and MAKE SURE that the Gm ALL try on their tuxes a good deal ahead of time you should be alright. I'm planning on doing this with Dante's regardless.

Oh, all of the places I've looked give the groom his tux free and most have half off for the fathers, esp is you are renting 6 tuxes.
