I have the day off tomorrow (yey) so its TUX TIME!! All of the GM's live far from us so I was thinking Mens Wearhouse would be good since they can find one close to them..
Pros and Cons?

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
We just had a really bad experience there for suits. I don't know first hand about the tuxes though. All I know is that after said bad experience, I decided to threaten them a bit with the fact that we WERE thinking of using them for tuxes and to see the swatches please, and the punk all but threw it at my face. Nice.

We went there and one other place. They were a lot more expensive.

We had a great experience ordering them. It took about 10 minutes and we were done!

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
We used the Men's Wearhouse Plainview location for our tuxes. No complaints! Ana set us up and was great. I recommend that specific location, and have heard bad reviews of every single other MW. Plainview, IMO, helps a HUGE high-end clientele due to prom and bar/bat mitzvahs and are very detail oriented and great with C.S. good lucK!

We used them and had no complaints. The one I liked the best was the one in Roosevelt Field mall

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
We used them because my brother in law used them in October and because we got a really good price (They are connected with David's Bridal where I got BM dresses they give you an extra discount). My DH wasn't thrilled with them once the tuxes came in and he tried it on, he made some changes and they helped us with it. One of the groomsmen tuxes came in the wrong size and he had to scramble to make something else work. All in all it worked out in the end and everyone looked Dashing!

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
We didn't have a good experience. FH and most of the other guys have large chests and smaller waists and they don't have any sort of European-style cut jacket, Nor do they tailor. The jacket added 30 lbs to FH. NOT what he wanted on his wedding day.
He also said the shoes were incredibly uncomfortable only having them on 2 minutes, the only shoe they offer.
We went to a real suit/tux place and they will tailor, yes even rentals, and it ended up being cheaper for a beautiful tux. Rico's in Center Moriches, highly recommended!
ETA: Oh and we have guys from all over too.... they just go get measured somehwere, fill out a card and mail it into the store, and they will pick them up the day before and someone will drop them off the day after!

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
We are using them since most of our groomsmen and FH went there for the last wedding they were in and everything went well. Not to mention when we tried to go somewhere else first, the other place was closed.
Forgot to add the real reason the guys like it...the one in Lake Grove is next to John Harvards! We had a fun night on Sunday after they all got measured.

I agree with using Plainview. FH and FFIL have purchased many suits and accesories there. They both have purchased tuxes there as well. We are going with Men's Warehouse for our rented tuxes.

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
I had them and I LOVED them, no complaints at all. They went above and beyond to get me the vest I wanted and every single tux fit perfectly the day of pick up

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
So far they have been great and all my GMs have had good experiences with them. One even managed to get his half price because he bought a suit for his own wedding on the same day.

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
Debi and Fred used them last year, and there weren't any problems; The only thing that could have been a bit better was the fit of my Grandson's tux; It was a bit too big for him. Mary MOB

Re: Mens Wearhouse for Tuxes
My son and DIL had the same issue with everyone living all over the US. They decided on Men's Weahouse for that reason too and it worked out perfect. Everyone was fitted and picked up their tux where they live and then some left theirs with me to return at the one my DH and sons went to. We had a very good experience with them.
