First off - happy birthday again!!

With the side dishes, the first thing that came to mind was something starchy - like potatoes or a pasta salad...

For appetizers, maybe you can run to price club or something and get those mini hors duorves (i can't spell) that you just pop in the oven? Like mini quiches? Or cheese and crackers with pepperoni?

Have fun tonight!!

Pigs in a blanket-

Buy the Pillsbury bisquits and cut into thin strips and wrap them around boar's head mini hot dogs. And bake.

baked potatoes or potato salad???

Re: Menu help

Just a modified version of deby's idea...

You can also completely wrap the pilsbury dough around cheese, rather than the mini dogs and bake for cheese puffs

Re: Menu help

Make some plain rice (or cut red and green peppers into tiny pieces to add some color to rice) to go with the chicken and meat.

Or make some mashed potatos.

Marnles, that's a great idea... I'm going to try that next time. Yummy!

Re: Menu help

Deby - stole that one from a friend!! They actually use the pastry dough you buy in the frozen section that you fold out - but the pilsbury will work too!
