My FH was shocked that the RH doesn't supply menus when they offer so many entree options. I wasn't of course. Do we have to do 1 per person or 1 per couple or can we have 1 per table? I definately want menus... but I don't want to look cheap or tacky...

we did one per guest because i liked the way it looked on the table.
you can kill 2 birds with one stone and make table number/menus and get away with doing one per table

ive seen it done all 3 ways. Been to weddings that had 1 menu per table, seen it for every guest and also 1 per couple. For e-party i did every guest, but for wedding i did 1 per couple. Both ways worked out so just go with whatever you think is best.

My RH gave us two per table but I would have liked to have done one per guest had I the guts and time to take on another DIY project I think all ways are nice as long as there is a menu at each table. It depends on what you want

i never even heard of a hall not giving out menus to the guests. I didn't know the couple ever had to supply it. that's just weird.

no the only time the couple makes it themselves is to do a different style, such as their monogram on top. Doing something to match their color scheme such as pink/brown cardstock, adding rhinestones or ribbon to the menu. This is why brides do it themselves. I wanted blue in my menu's so thats why. For e-party i did them with pink and brown cardstock to match, but both places supplied it just different looking

oh ok. thanks for clearing that up. i haven't even seen my halls menus yet. I still gotta do all that in a couple weeks.

I like one per guest because i think it looks nice tucked into the napkin on each place- it just looks pretty IMO......

I've also seen it a variety of ways..1 per guest, 1 per table, 2-3 per table. We did 1 per guest, but they were only machine-fed cardstock--no frame or anything fancy--so it wasn't that much trouble. I think any way you chose will look fine, but suggest if you're doing less than 1 per couple you may want to throw it in a frame to make it easier to pass around.
