Ive made my own menus for the reception. Now here is my question, Id rather not spend so much money on holders for them. Is it okay to just place a menu on each persons plate? If not can anyone suggest where I can get VERY ( under $0.50 each) inexpensive holders or some kind of clip?

Re: Menus
Did you check the dollar stores? you can probably find something nice there that's really inexpensive.

Re: Menus
At a wedding I went to the waiters/waitresses handed out the menus. Maybe you can ask your hall to do that? If not, I think putting the menus on each place is fine.

Re: Menus
In the current Martha Stewart magazine (Summer 2003) check out page 170. There is a cute paper menu stand that you can make yourself, you just need heavyweight paper. In the magazine it shows that each stand has the persons name who will be in that seat but I just plan to put Fi and my monogram or a pretty picture of a flower.
I'll been to weddings where the menu was on the table.
Hope this helps. I plan to try a sample soon so I'll let you know how it turns out.

Re: Menus
Mine are on parchment paper and I am just going to leave them on the plate.
Teh plate is actually just the charger, so it's not like there will be food served on the plate, I think it will look fine.

Re: Menus
You can have them placed in the folded napkins I have seen that in many photos
