We already have a joint account and we will prolly open a separate savings account together, but we will continue to have our own bank accounts too
We did that about 1 month after the wedding. We kept meaning to for about a year before the wedding, but never got around to it.

When did you/will you merge bank accounts w/ your FH?
We opened up a joint savings account right after we got engaged. We'll probably open a joint checking one of these days...I suppose shortly after the wedding.
We are in the process of merging checking accounts right now, just after our wedding. We had a joint savings account that we opened right after we got engaged.
We opened a joint savings account after we got engaged. Probably after the wedding we'll open a joint checking so we can just pay bills from one account. Right now we take turns every week buying groceries, and FH pays all the bills while I pay more towards rent.
We just opened a joint account this Saturday. We are in the process of closing out our other accounts or transfering money from them to our new one.
We had credit cards together long before we were engaged. Right after we got engaged we opened a joint savings account. I recently switched my checking account so I made it joint with him. His account is in his name, but we've been menaing to add my name. It's not big deal though. As of right now we have spearate checking accounts. It helps us keep track a little better. For now it amkes more sense that our funds be separate, even though if something needs to be paid or bought, it can come from either. Mine is his, his is mine.
We opened joint checking and savings about two months ago b/c FH is horrible with paying bills. So I'm now in charge of the bills and the savings is for the wedding. I still have my own savings just in case.

we made a joint account as soon as we got engaged...all the wedding money ( my checks) go into savings...and all his checks go into checking for bills and spending $$
we will probably do this shortly before the wedding. We thought about doing it now, but we don't live together, and don't pay any bills together. The money for the wedding is going into my savings acct, and it works out fine. The one check we got for our e-party that was in his name he cashed and then I put into the savings acccount.
Thanks ladies! We're in contract on a house, and are talking about merging the accounts now, before closing just to make things easier - but we won't actually be living together until December. I'll be taking over the bill paying for both of us....It just seems so scary and REAL to be combining everything now - my FI just laughs at me, and figures we have to do it eventually so why not now?

Me and my FH have had joint checking and savings accoutns since 5 months after we started dating. It has worked out pretty well thus far. We get into little arguments here and there about money but nothing to to serious. We started living together like 4 months after we started dating.
we already did all that, just need to change my name after the wedding!!
