Merrick gyms??

Hey ladies!

So I'm in my process of sweating for the wedding and I need help finding a gym! I currently go to the Planet Fitness in Carle Place but its just too far to go to when I'm already forcing myself to the gym.

Is anyone a member of a gym in Merrick or extremely close to it (Bellmore, maybe even East Meadow) that they like and that's affordable?

I'd appreciate any info on price!
Thanks!

I use NYSC in East Meadow. It's nice but not the nicest gym I've been in. The Hicksville and Garden City locations are much nicer. However, it's very convenient for me and never crowded. It's right on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow.

I just got a flyer for this place, its only $20/month. I just priced out Gold's gym in Bellmore is $20/month but there is a signing fee (I think $80) and you'd have to deal with some meatheads... I've heard great things about Synergy on Merrick Ave, but I have no idea what the price is.

I'm am going to a personal trainer in Bellmore (in the King Kullen shopping center) tonight to check that out. Its definitely going to be more expensive than a gym membership, but I just have no motivation to go to the gym. I'm thinking if I schedule workouts with a trainer I will force myself to go (and they can show me what to do because I am clueless at the gym). If you're interested I can let you know how it goes.
