Merry Christmas & Catch up!
Merry Christmas 2012ers! For those who don't celebrate, I hope you are enjoying your weekend :)
I can't believe how long it's been since I have been on this site! Things have been a little crazy and I've been out of sorts. A very close family friend of ours who I grew up with passed away. It's just been such a sad time and it hit me hard having a friend so close to my age pass away. Since they are family friends and her parents are very close friends of my parents, its been hard seeing my parents struggle with it also. Especially my Dad with all he has had going on. I was just in such a daze the past couple of weeks.
Yesterday, I was with my family and just realized I needed to snap out of it. Here I am, very fortunate to be sitting with my family all together on Christmas. We almost lost my Dad in October in the crash and its a miracle he is here. Although I am so sad about my friend and feel its just not fair that she had to leave us, it's also made me count my blessings and realize how much I have to be thankful for. I was actually feeling a little guilty being so excited and thinking about wedding stuff when she had just passed. I know, of course I am allowed to be happy, but it just felt wrong to be so excited at a time like that.
In any case, I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the time with your families. Life is too short to be anything but happy...I've certainly realized this lately!
Looking forward to catching up on all the missed posts and getting back into the swing of 'wedding chat' with you girls! My friend actually loved hearing all the wedding talk, so I know she will be happy I am excited again.
