Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
Wow!!! Those look amazing- I bet they really give the hourglass shape. I don't think I could tolerate it though.

I love the old fashioned corsets - is it comfortable? Can you breathe?

if they don't fit right with the dress, can they be returned?

i don't think you can return them since they are custom...as for breathing its fairly soft...but i go for my final fitting tomorrow and will let you know!

Corsets are amazing. But my God, I can hardly breathe now in my dress (it has a corset back). I couldn't do it.

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
kinda weird how people chose their evils. i went for the suck-it-in corset but skipped the high high heels and stuck with a lower one...for me i wanted the tiny waist and it wasn't going to happen without some help!

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
which one did you get?
question - does it create spill over on top with fat - or fits great
what happens if it is too high for your dress
also how long did it take to get
sorry so many questions

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
don't know about the fat...i'm going tomorrow to try it on with the dress and i'll let you know how much spills out if any. but since its an overbust style-which i wanted to smush me down in the boob area, i don't think there will be a lot of spill--its not a push up. i got the courtesan style in the simple brocade. i'm sure i'll have some sort of picture of it from the photographer at the wedding.
it took a little over 4 weeks to get, and i paid for 5 week delivery.
eta: if its too high you can get it fixed for a fee, but the measurements on how high it will go are based on what you submit.

I wanted to get one from there too but my dress is quite low in the back and it wouldn't have worked, even with them adjusting it!
Have fun wearing it!!! I KNOW your DH will love it!

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
OK! So i went a tried on the dress with the corset-WOW...it felt fine! i mean it was tight like i have to not hunch, but i can breathe and defintely dance. the lining is so soft, and the best part...almost 3' off my waist at the fitting plus the armpit smoosh was the same as with my bra-pretty much zero. so i do really, really recommend the meschantes corset for anyone looking to cinch the waist. i learned about from a wedding review on LIW and have to completely thank LIW for this find...a great company!

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
Does the corset add 'width' to your frame? Do you feel the fitting adjusts wider to allow for the corset? I want to have lift in the bust but not width around the ribs. TIA

Re: Meschantes! WOW what a corset!
to answer you question about width-for me it did not, my dress had to be taken in because of weight loss and the corset. but it is an undergarment so it adds a layer-but not a lot IMO.
