Message Board Newbie

I just got engaged and I am so excitec about this website. I don't know anyone planning there wedding right now, so it's nice to know there is a place I can read and ask questions about wedding stuff. Congrats to everyone....

He asked me to marry him at Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Westubury. It was very romantic; he didn't get down on one knee, but it was really sweet and he poured his heart out to me. I think he was really nervous. How about you?

he proposed while we were on vacation. we went on a cruise to a bunch of places and he did it when we were in St JOhns. Really romantic...and he busted his knee on a rock when he went down! HAHA he was super nervous too...

boys are so damn cute <3

For our first official date (we had hung out for a couple weeks prior with friends and were 'dating')we went ice skating at Central Park and saw the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. I am a TERRIBLE Ice skater so i kept falling. He said that was when he fell in love with me though.. nothing like bustin your but to get someone to luv ya! but anyway, we went to the city on Christmas Eve and he took me to the observation deck of the ice skating rink. He asked me if this is somewhere i would want to take our kids one day and i said that would be nice. With that he turned me around and said, well speaking of the future, will you marry me?

aw that story is so sweet! haha FH wanted to propose while we were parasailing. He even had the video cam up there...and you could see how he struggle with the box in his shorts!!!! Imagine he continued to attempt that and dropped the ring!I would have died! it was an awesome idea in his head...the execution not so much.
