Not sure what to do. I'm considering giving cocoa dusted almonds as favors. I'd wrap them in tissue paper and put them in a pretty little box with a ribbon. The problem is, the cocoa almonds are MESSY. The cocoa powder gets everywhere. Just wondering if this would end up being a problem for people, with people getting cocoa powder all over the place. But I really love the idea, and the cocoa almonds are so deliciously decadent! Thoughts or opinions?

I think most people hold off on opening food-related favors until after the wedding since they're stuffed! You're probably good....
If they do get messy, tell them not go near your white dress. I've already told my mom that I want a bib for the wedding dinner

A lobster bib? Are you kidding me? Those are free and if it's for my special DAAAAAAAAAAAAAY it must have Swarovsky crystals on it...not crustaceans.

My wedding is kosher so the lobster will be contraband anyway. Love the crystal idea!

I would skip them. People snack on edible favors throughout the wedding (if displayed at the tables), which may lead to messes. Even if they eat them afterward, it'll still be messy in the car, on their nice clothes, etc.
Another factor to consider: are you packaging them? If so, won't cocoa get all over the exterior of the boxes?

I agree - just from attending weddings I always hold food favors till later when I'm home.
Lol on the bib! I was thinking about it and FH even said I'd probably need it!
