met with 4 videographers
Okay so i met with 4 videographers in the past 2 days:
-Rambling Rose
-Wedding Cinema
-JPI Video
-Timeless Treasures
Timeless Treasures: the guy we met with was great and would definitely be great on the wedding day. His personality is great. However my FH didn't really like his work. It was too made up for him and too many over the top effects.
JPI Video: works out of his home, which is fine. Nice enough guy, but a bit more than i wanted to spend (starting at $1600). His menu screen and scene selection screen was impressive. The one thing was none of the samples he showed us was like a similar wedding we'd have. I mean we're 24 years old and want a really fun wedding (not a romantic music video). So it was hard to really like his work because he hasn't filmed a really young crowd it seemed so all the music on the samples were slow, boring music that doesn't interest us. But he is very good at what he does and he uses a small, tiny camera.
Wedding Cinema: Pete was great. A lot younger than i expected (although all these guys seem to be). He seems really flexible and his work is real. He captures the day as it was and i loved his dvd case-cover. He also has a menu with motion pictures, as well as still pictures for the scene selection.
Rambling Rose: We met with Joe because Nick was held up, which was fine. Joe was a great guy and seemed to understand exactly what we wanted (which none of the previous guys seemed to get). Nick does great work, however my FH was disappointed with the menu screen/scene selection screen. He felt that it was something a rookie could do. But everything else was great!
** We can't decide between Rambling Rose & Wedding Cinema. Any ideas? Any dislikes for those that have used either of them?
