And Loved him! Very professional and straight forward, seemed like an honest businessman and his prices can't be beat so far and he is the 6th person I've seen. I have seen lower prices but obvious lower quality to go along with it. I thought the quality was that in the same as these other companies I've seen but I'll save $500 by going with him. I am 90% sure he is who i will be going with just wanted to let those of you still looking know. He has the ability to do all the same effects, digital taping and DVD (which he throws in free if you book one of the higher packages).

I met with Bellarino on Tuesday and was very impressed as well. I'm going to look at 2 others, just so I can get a comparison, but I really felt comfortable with Phil and his work. I like the fact that he will throw in the DVD with the 2 higher packages.

I have already booked Bellarino. For every reason that you guys mentioned are the reasons why we booked Phil. I thought he was very professional and understanding. When we went to see him, he did not say to us that anytime over a 5 hour reception is considered OT so when we went to sign the contract he was not going to charge me OT since my reception is 6 1/2 hours. Also, I liked him because he was not going to charge me to come into Brooklyn (where the church is) and then back out to LI (where the reception). I think that we all have made a wonderful chose.

I loved his personality too but...........I had to judge my video on what I thought to be better quality video so I went with North Shore Video. There are a few things you have to look out for. Phil has great packages but there are a few extras. For honeymoon recaps and full days highlights, it's the high package (all that is included in mine). Also, I mentioned b4 but I will again. I am big on presentation. Phil hands you the video and DVD in a clear case. That's fine but for me it wasn't (and I asked him if he made custom labels and he said no). Mine comes with my choice of template with our wedding pics on the VHS's and DVD's. I'm spending 1400-1500 for 4 VHS's and 1 DVD......Just something to think about but you should go with who you fell best with. I met with Bellarino on Tuesday and I met with Platinum tonight. Platinum was much more money, but did very nice work. I was impressed with his way of filming and he seemed to really capture the day. His DVD has pictures on the actual DVD and pictures on the case. This is a nice touch.

Platinum's package was more money than any of Bellarino's and DVD was extra ($200 for the first copy, $25 for each additional). Bellarino threw in the DVD as part of their 3rd and 4th packages.

I have an appointment with Wild Rose on Tuesday and after that, I hope I can make a decision. I was also thinking of looking at Candlelite.

Well Karen I met with Wild Rose and they were very nice but I can just tell you from reading on this board they are just as expensive as Platinum.

Curly: I actually asked phil about this since you told me before hand and I am confused. he owns his own printer and instead of just printing a label (like most of these places do) onto the CD which can fall off and ruin your cd and/or player. He also showed me the case and it has a picture of the bride and groom printed on it with a little saying or whatever, I thought it was nice, just wondering what you would have wanted different from that as far as personalization? I also called Northshore Video and they sent me a demo which I really wasnt crazy about, plus his prices were alot higher, different strokes for different folks though.

I hear Videomaker is also very reasonable, does anyone know anything about them?

During my demo with Bellarino I also questioned the DVD case. Phil showed me - he uses a clear case. The clear case would include a picture of us on back and front with our names and wedding date. I called my girlfriend who used him and her VHS has picture labels. I booked Bellarino because I thought the quality of his work was excellent and his editing was very elegant. I think he offers different packages to accommodate all budgets. Package 3, $1300 which I am getting offers a full day recap included. Package 4 includes honeymoon and full day recap and other things for $1400. I am getting 3 edited tapes, the raw footage and DVD with chapters.

He actually didn't show me what he showed you.....hmmmmm.......He said it's clear, plain plastic. Not a single name or pic. But I guess things happen for a reason. Like I said, I did like him and would have booked him but my gut said North Shore. I'm sure we will ALL have beautiful videos

Maryannh: We also booked him but he did not say anything about the cases. I guess because I did not ask, that is why he did not tell me anything about the cases. How did your girlfriends video come out? We loved his demo but have never seen a real video. Which package did you take?

nylisa, I got package 3 the Premier Package it includes opening montage (baby pics etc) ceremony reception and music video recap highlight collage of day, raw footage, 3 edited tapes and a DVD. I'm sure if you call Phil he will show you anything you want, you know how accomodating he is.

Bellarino starts at $800 (raw footage only) and goes up to $1,400. Platinum was $1,895.

I heard on the knot that Videomaker in Deer Park has everything including the babymontage, DVD, brides house, editing etc. for $895!! I am gonna co check them out and let you know though, sounds too good to be true!

The girls who posted this said that they had also met with Bellarino and liked Bellarino but thought Videoamaker was just as good if not better,

I plan on meeting with them some time next week, I'll keep you posted

I was one of the girls who just booked with Videomaker. I know it sounds too good to be true, but you should really check out their video. I thought it was much better than some of the pricier videos. # is (631)254-8416.

Maryannh, that is the same package that I got. I think that you should check on that price. I am only paying $1200 not $1300. I am not sure if I am saving $100 because I am a Manor East bride. He is the 'house' videographer at the Manor East, so maybe that is why I am paying $1200 for Package #3 and you are paying $1300 but I think that you should ask him about that.

I check my price sheet - the price is $1300, the package went up $100. I guess even Bellarino needs to cover the cost of doing business. Thats ok, at least I know first hand the wedding video will be done professional - like I said I saw my girlfriends tape and she used Bellarino she got them from their cousin who used them and they were all very happy. So this is a vendor that I will not have to worry and have any concerens about!!
