Met with Pastor April last night

... and she is wonderful! She had a sample ceremony to us by 10pm and it is gorgeous, personal, and exactly what we were hoping for. FH felt very comfortable with her (which says a lot) and he just wrote me an email saying he wants her to be the one who makes me his wife. Of course now a have questions.

The ladies who have used Pastor April...

1. Do you always address her as 'Pastor April' or just 'April' (She signed her email with just April)?

2. Did you invite her to your reception?

3. Do you generally tip your officient if you aren't getting married in a church?

We are meeting with Pator April next week, I would love to know the answers to these questions as well! I am so happy that you and FH liked her so much, just by talking to her over the phone I get the feeling that she is going to be the right choice for us as well.

so glad your meeting went well! She was the best person we worked with, we loved her! to answer your questions:

1. I called her April the whole time.
2. Nope. You can pay her extra to say a blessing at the reception, but she won't stay for the reception.
3. I didn't tip her, some people do though. IMO, she charges a good amount in the first place and it's her business.

2. didnt send an invite, but she mingles for a bit at CH...

3. yes, you tip her... we gave her $150 i believe but thats bc we won her services at a liw event

My FH and I are meeting with her in a few weeks. She was the officiant at my friends wedding and she was awesome!!

I don't think I would tip her though because its her business and she is not working for someone else, so the money you pay her goes straight to her anyway.
