Met with Photogs

I met with some photogs today and wanted opinions if you guys have any... 1. VIP - John Magnano - loved him - feel like he really gave the best price for what he offered. 2. Photo by Verdi - their work was the best, but too expensive, since my hall is on the more pricy side, I figure I should save money 3. Personal Touch with Chip - Had a good feeling 4. ADA - They seemed pretty inexpensive, but there were a lot of add-ons and it seamed that the price rose very quickly. I also wouldn't meet with photog until 1 week before wedding. What do you guys think??? Has anyone gotten proofs back from any of these places? Thanks in advance.

I'm using VIP/John Pagano as well. I really liked his pictures and yes best value I believe. I also met with ADA and I liked them, but had the same thoughts as you. Too many add ons.

I actually am dealing with this right now, but I haven't heard about any of these particular companies yet. I went to see Bart Stevens, his prices seemed reasonable I suppose and his picture were quite beautiful. Just curios though, what kind of prices are you getting so far?

FYI with Bart Stevens...If you book Bart he is generally scheduled to shoot photos up to the start of the reception. Once the reception starts his assistant finishes the rest of the wedding unless you pay an additional $500 for Bart to stay. My fi and I noticed the very small print on the bottom right of his price list AFTER we left his studio. I felt that someone should have pointed that out to us during our meeting. Luckily we noticed it before we booked and decided to stay away!

I was aiming for under $3000. That put verdi out of the running although they were awesome. I finally booked with John from VIP - he's really a nice person and not a salesman, which I liked also. Although Personal touch was a close second for the price
