Metropolitan Help!!
Hey everyone,FH and I are dying to go look at The Metropolitan, but after seeing their video, it looks like some guests are seated upstairs? We are having approximately 275 guests and wouldn't want anyone to be separate from the rest of the party, nor do we want to fall in love with a place if that is the case. Can someone confirm this? Thank youu!

Re: Metropolitan Help!!
The metropolitan is beautiful!! We were going to go with them but I didn't like the the cocktail hour was upstairs and they don't have an elevator (my mom is disabled so she wouldn't have been able to join everyone at cocktail hour). I don't think they separate the seating for the reception but I'm not sure. However 275 is a lot of people and I don't know if their main room is big enough to accommodate that many people. You should give them a call. HTH!!!

I went to a wedding there and it was really nice. The reception was on one level but I'm not sure how many people they had at their wedding,

I'd go look. With 275 people, there is no way they would all fit in the cocktail area space. We had looked there, and with 150 guest minimum, we didn't think we'd have enough room for everyone in the cocktail space, so we went with another location.

I went to see it. We were estimating 200 guests, and people would definitely be seated upstairs in the balcony area. The cocktail hour room was to the right when you walk in- the reception room is to the left, with additional seating upstairs.

When we were looking we were interested here as well. We called because I was not a fan of the upstairs space and wanted to see how it worked before we went there. I think they said anything 175 and up had to use some of the upstairs space which we hated (we have about 250 guests) so we never pursued it further.

I went there a few weeks ago because it's right across from my job and I think they told me that if the party was over 125, the additional guests had to sit on the upper level or else it would be too crowded. The place itself is beautiful, but I didn't want to separate the guests. Different floors made it seem like different parties.
