Mota tried to hit Piazza with a pitch and Piazza had to jump back a little , but the next pitch he aimed at his head (hit his shoulder area). So he charged the mound with his fist cocked in fighting position ready to beat the pulp out of him. The wuss threw his glove at him, and other mets were rushing at him too... the look on Piazzas face... looks like he would have killed him if he laid his hands on him

HUGE MET fan here!!!! Love my Mets!!! Unfortunately DH is a die hard (true) Yankee fan.

I loved that fight last night!!! I had to keep finding stations to watch it again and again. I love baseball action. That Mota is such a dumb a$$. I wish Bernitz would have caught him!!!

I plan to raise my children Mets fans! (DH doesn't agree but I come from a huge Met and baseball fan family and his family are fair weather fans). For those in split relationships what about you?

Die hard Yankee fans both of us. HARD core. We love the summer...we don't watch real TV in the summer, only Yankees games. We never know what to do with ourselves when they aren't playing.

YANKEES!!!!!!! My dad took my to my first Yankee game when I was 2 years old and have loved all sports ever since.

I am a HUGE Met fan and DH is a HUGE Yanks fan. It works out ok b/c he always goes to Met games with me and I sometimes go to Yanks games with him (I really despise going to Yankee Stadium!).

Last night's Piazza fight was crazy. I could not believe the look on his face. It was scary! He wanted to kill Mota, the scaredy cat. He literally threw his mitt at Piazza's face and then took off in the other direction. You just can't do that!

As for the orange uniforms...I like them a lot. I don't think they will be wearing them during the season. I think they are just practice uniforms or if they do wear them they'll make a random appearance like the old Met pinstripes or the black jerseys.

Obviously, I want to raise our kids Met fans but I guess they'll have to choose on their own. I really think they'll side with me, though b/c we go to way more Met games and I always have the game on tv. Kids usually side with the mom anyway, right?

Does anyone else have as big a problem with Benitez as I do? He makes me so nervous.
