someone said ( i think it was the dodgers GM??) that the smirk MAY HAVE been directed at himself. Like he knew he pitched a crappy one and he has to work on it. Thats what he said anyway.

I HATE the orange... its so obnoxious!! maybe if it was a little muted. I like the stripe of color under the arm though,... so maybe if it was blue with the orange stripe it wouldn't be so bad.

Christine, it does get pretty interesting. We are always rubbing it in when our team wins. Although, we don't get to see a lot of the games since we live in Florida

I think Mike Piazza is a baby. You can't charge at EVERY pitcher that hits you. Sometimes, its just a bad pitch.

Not like when Benitez beamed Tino Martinez becuase Bernie Williams hit a homer. Benitez is a nightmare.

Both hubby and I are Yankees fans although I am the diehard maniac fan and have been since I was about 3 years old! That was a long long time ago.

Don't get to see too many games because we have Dish Network and they don't carry YES.

Piazza doesn't charge every pitcher that hits him... He didn't charge at him till the second pitch when he almost hit his head!!!!

Count how many times people have pitched at Mike's head....then count how many times Mike has done something about it. It's about friggin time he started getting ****ed! He has every right too. I think it's more 'babyish' to throw a ball 90 miles an hour at someone's head (which can cause death instantly) to get them to back off a plate, than it is to react to the ******* and do something about it.

If someone is throwing at a batter's head, then I agree thats 'babyish' but sometimes the pitch gets away and thats a risk that every ballplayer takes. More than likely a pitch that is coming at your head, or hits the helmet, is a mistake, rather than an attempt to commit murder. A pitch that lands between your shoulder blades, now thats another story.

Maybe Mikey's head is just too big

In any event, Misty, I don't want to cause drama about a player that I don't care about, so lets agree to disagree. And when the first subway series of the season gets closer, we'll come back and talk trash about our teams.

Misty-It is about time Mikey got a little tuff! I am with you. Plus him and Mota have history. Mota is a freak. Mike use to work out at Crunch at 59th Street about a year or so ago. My DH said he use to be there all the time. He got me his autograph and a Happy Birthday message but don't think he is the brightest. He spelled Denise wrong - but DH corrected him - so I have two autographs - one with the misspelled name and one corrected!
