I've never been to an all inclusive resort anywhere, nevermind Mexico.
Stupid question: Do we need to get dressed up everynight for dinner, like you do on a cruise?
Would capri pants, sandals and a tshirt type shirt work?

I am going to Mexico. I will probably bring sundresses for nighttime to wear with nice flats (sandals) and then maybe one or two dress up outfits. I DONT wear heels on vacation since I wear them all week long at work!

i just came back from the Royal hideaway in Mexico.
dinner was a dresscode of business casual.
Guys: collared/button down shirt long pants closed toe shoes
Women: dress, pants, capris (as long as they are 'dressy') any type of shoe
i would bring some nice dresses and 1 pair of heels that can go with anything. dont go too crazy dressing up. one guy was in a full suit and he stuck out like a sore thumb
