We are going to stay at the New Secrets Resort in Rivera Maya

7 restaurants, 7 pools, all rooms have hottubs, 24 hour room service and more!! I can;t wait!!

I am not a Mexico honeymooner but have stayed at the Moon Palace (Cancun) and Aventura Palace (Mayan Riveria) and had amazing experiences at both. They are both all inclusive and their spa treatments are addicting

We stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace - and had a FABULOUS time. I highly recommend it. We got a good package from yahoo travel.

Aventura looks beautiful, but so does the Secret Resorts---which is funny b/c I was looking into both these places before I posted this post---LOL.

Are you staying at the Secrets Capri or the Secrets Excellence.??

A Hot tub/Jacuzzi in room--is definitely an option I would have to request but to know all rooms have one is Great!!

Sorry for the delay..... We are going to stay at the new one, Secrets Excellence. My friend works for the company and she said that the hotel is AMAZING.... I saw her pictures and I can't wait to go. I want to go right now!!!!

The prices are pretty good to. If you have a travel agent, they can book you on an Apple Vacations charter and it is non-stop flights and pretty good prices. They only thing is that you can only go for 7 days I think with that package.

I am in the travel business myself and have so many airline points on American that I am going to use my points for the air.

We stayed at the Villa Carolina in Zihuatanejo, Mexico- it's where they went at the end of the Shawshank Redemption- it's on the West Coast of Mexico, slightly North of Acapulco.

Not a Mexico honeymooner, but for our one year anniversary we booked Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen. Friends have gone there and loved it and all the travel boards give it great reviews!

This site is very good. You have to watch out for the fake reviews but check out Royal Hideaway, it is absolute bliss. just type in royal hideaway, it's in playa del carmen. Not doing our HM in Mexico but we vaca there. Would definitely recommend Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. The resort is on a private beach so you do not have to deal with beach vendors. All the resorts there were beautiful. Also, we just got back from Mazatlan, Mexico.... beautiful place but would not recommend for a HM.

We are planning to honeymoon in Cabo and I've been looing at a Hilton Hotel there - it was on the cover of 2004 Resort Magazine and looked amazing.

We just got back from our HM and we went to Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta. We stayed a week at each, both at the Mayan Palace. We loved both of them, they were absolutely gorgeous! If you were only going to one place I would suggest PV. We had the best time. There's a lot of culture and tons to do. You can eat tacos from a stand or have a gourmet meal. The options are endless.

How come you would choose Puerto Vallarta over Acapulco--? My FI wants to go to Acapulco, but I know this sounds soooo dumb, but my parents went there on their honeymoon like 30 years ago--I dont want to go to the same honeymoon spot they went to---LOL--Am I a weirdo or what? Lmao
