Michael Crichton's Timeline.. read it? seeing the movie?

I read it a little over a year ago and loved it. Then again I like that kind of scientific twisted plot books.

Now there's a movie. It seems to be holding pretty true to the book (theres a first)

Can't wait.

Anyone else?

Well when I saw the promos for 'Time Machine' I knew instantly I'd be disappointed. Some books need real love and care to make it to the screen. But staying WITH the book's premise is always a start.

I went to the Timeline Site www.timelinemovie.com. and snooped around. It really seems true to the book.

LOL
i heard the movie is good if you don't expect much.

I think it's cause people are used to movies being a series or to have open endings.. this one wont. It starts and finishes.

Still I cant wait.
prolly gonna see it Friday.

I read the book a while back and do plan on seeing the movie. For some reason though - i always like Crichton's books much better than the movies that are based on the books.

Saw it last night.
Book is SOOOOO much better.. they made a few changes here and there.

The warrior guy from the book isnt fully developed as a character in this movie.. which was a shame since he knew all the cool stuff.

GREAT authentic war though. Those who drool for Matrix effects may feel disappointed, but I really loved all the effort they took to make it look authentic.
