This is a repost from the BHB board. Since I haven't gotten any responses yet, I figured I would try this board that may be more appropriate for my question.
I know many of you are very crafty and are very familiar with both stores, and since I am not, I was wondering which store I should go to as far as getting the best price on ribbon and paper shred??
I am trying to assemble a laundry basket filled with household items (I will be presenting the household item poem) for my friend's shower and just needed these final few items to finish it.
By the way - anyone have pics of such a project? I would love to see some of your ideas.
TIA!

Re: Michaels or AC Moore's?
To be honest, try WalMart. They are the cheapest for crafty things.

I'm sure they do, but she's right- their craft section is way smaller than a Michaels. But if price is your concern, it's worth checking, IMO.

IMO AC Moore is less expensive and if you look in the Newsday every Wednesday they have 40% coupons.

They usually have coupons in the Sunday paper if you can wait until tomorrow. I'm not sure about online.

Re: Michaels or AC Moore's?
Personally, I've had better luck at ACMoore. You can get paper shred there. You can also sign up online for their weekly newsletter and coupon. The Newsday coupons are only included in the Wed. & Sunday newspapers if you subscribe to the paper (not if you buy it at the newsstand). Hope this helps
