even if he wasnt the music legend he was, a person at the age of 50 to die, any person and with three kids is just a tragedy.

I am so beyond shocked still.
i couldn't believe the news

I met Michael Jackson when I was 12, I was part of his Heal The World Press Conference and he was a nice guy. I was crazy for him and loved him and his music and his dancing.

It is a huge loss for the world of music and for some of us who associated him with our childhoods.....so sad

This is truly tragic and its only hitting me just now...not only because he was so young to die, but also because I really believe he lead a troubled and difficult life. He was so abused as a child I'm sure that shaped the person that he became and I can't look at him with hatred at all, I only feel so bad for him that he had to live his life the way he did and that he had to die this way...

I truly hope he's found some peace, wherever he is now. He deserves it. R.I.P. Michael and Farrah as well...

Deanna, I kid you not I just told my mother the same thing about the whole death in 3's (didn't know to many people knew of that saying), so a hope that's it for a while. Either way it is a tragedy and I hope he's in peace now.

So so sad...I feel so terrible for his children since they are still young.

I feel like I'm still in disbelief...

He was so iconic and made incredible music.

I know everyone's got their opinions about him but but you can't imagine music without michael - think of all the artists he inspired - from usher to justin T - he was such an influence. As for the weirdness factor - I believe hes a product of his environment - he was forced into the spotlight from the earliest age of any entertainer - I believe his soul is truly at peace now. RIP Michael you will be missed...

I heard about it when I was in the car with my mom and sis on the way to a wedding showcase. Its really sad! He was very talented and strange. He will be missed :(
