Michele31, re: your BM gowns

Michele, thanks so much for the information on your BM gowns. Are we talking about the same designer? The one I'm speaking of can be found at alexiadesigns.com.

I really like the two piece velvet top, satin A-line skirt set. Top is either V back 3/4 sleeve or off the shoulder sleeveless.

Some of my girls tried on the moss green sample at RK...and were lukewarm about the color. I like purples, but didn't really like the color as it appeared on the web page. Guess I just need to see it in person!

Did they have all of the colors at Bridal Suite?

Wow. You found my dress! THis is it. THe colors on the web look very different then the swatches did. The red was much redder and deeper in the swatch. My plum is a beautiful deep plum, NOT eggplant color, not lavendar. If you want to see the color go to Bridal Suite ask for Debbie, tell her that you are friends with me, michele Favaro (they have my wedding as October :) and ask to see my BM gowns to see the actual color. You cannot try the gown on, but you will get to see the deep plum in person this way.
Velvets do not usually come in spring time colors such as light blues, pinks etc.. it is for a fall/winter wedding. What color are you looking for?
Each piece was $98.00 plus the matching wrap in satin is $50. No tax on any pieces. Alteration cap is $65. Debbie is great to work with. We ordered them end of March, they arrived 2 weeks ago.

Re: Michele31, re: your BM gowns

It is so nice of you to offer a peek at your dresses. BM and I just may take you up on the offer. I can't thank you enough.

I loved the thought of my BMs in plum or a mocha brown (which is not an offered color). I was concerned that Alexia's plum would be too purple...not warm or deep enough for us. It's so hard to see a true color on a web site, and I've had trouble finding these dresses in salons. RK in midtown only had the moss, and BMs didn't really like it. BMs agree that they don't want red or navy, the charcoal and silver are maybes. And, of course, the plum.

BMs may mix tops...some in off shoulder, some in 3/4 sleeves.

Thanks again for your help!! I may actually be making progress here!!

If you want e-mail me

I will be going this week sometime with my MOH to try on her gown. Maybe tomorrow after work. If you want, you are more than welcome to come down to see as well.
The color is very subtle actually. I thought the satin might be more purple but it isn't. It isn't eggplant, but that shoes up near black in photos anyway. Feel free to have Debbie let you see the gowns. I LOVE mocha too! The quality of the pieces is very nice also.

Re: Michele31, re: your BM gowns

Hi Michele,

I can't remember if I sent you an email...

I just wanted to thank you again for your recommends re: bridesmaids dresses. Me and most of my BMs made our way out to Centereach a few weeks ago to try on the Alexia dress-and you are right, Debbie is very helpful and very sweet. We didn't see your BM dresses, just the samples on the rack. I must say, the plum is absolutely gorgeous! My BMs ended up agreeing on the moss off the shoulder top with A line skirt.

Best wishes with the rest of your planning!!
