Hey - I made my own extensions for fullness since my hair has thinned out a lot - it was so cheap and easy!

p.s. - mine are clip in.

I bought some extensions to make my hair longer also.. and I bought the clips in to sew ... I got them at Sallys Beauty Supply for about 60 bucks (withough the clips - real hair)

Re: michele(flairforfashion)

I wanted clip-ins and every place wanted 300+ because of my hair lenght so I decided to DIY after talking to my BM who did this for her wedding!

1. I bought HUMAN hair (18 inches long) [$55 - cheaper if shorter or different brand - I used Milkyway which is apparently mid-range in price]. I also bought a ton of clips [2 for $1]. It is a very long string of hair.

2. I wanted a very full look for my now thin hair so I took two layers of it (each 10 inches (I have a big head)) and sewed them together at the top with needle and thread. Then I sewed on 5 of the clips and brushed it through.

3. I did the same to make an 8 inch (4 clips) and a 6 inch piece (3 clips). I also made a few side pieces [maybe an inch or inch and a half, one clip each].

4. I brought them for my trial and my hairdresser said they were great - just as good as custom made ones!

Honestly - it is a little time consuming but pretty simple to do!

Gina, Jenn sells them. I think they are $100. They are clip ins. She semi sews them in the day of the wedding. They last a day.

Then you keep these and you can use them yourself! If you are using Jenn, contact her and let her know you want these so she can order them.
