Has anyone had this done? I got a gift Certificate to Maximus Spa and they offered that service. Has anyone one had it done at Maximus or at a dermatologist office, and can advise if it is worth having it done?

Just the name 'abrasion' frightens me .. it sounds like it's so rough on your skin .. and any video clips I've seen of it .. also look fairly unappealing .. of course .. it seems to be the thing people are doing .. I just wouldn't want to subject my skin to it.

in order to see results you really should have 5 or 6 microdermabrasion sessions. it gets rid of the dead skin cells. it's not painful, but it can really make your face red and irritated afterwards, especially if you have sensitive skin. i say go for a facial.

I wouldnt do it.......cant you use it (gift certificate) for something else?
Your face I beleive turns completely red--its pretty nasty--IMO, not worth doing that to your skin on your face........good exfoliants, face wash and moisturizing creams are all you need!
