Microsoft Word Question

Has anyone ever received a memo or something at work, where at the bottom of the page, like in the footnote area, there is a location of where the actual document was saved on the computer it was created on??

does anyone know how to set this up, besides typing it in manually???

TIA!

Re: Microsoft Word Question

to create footer or header, you must click view, then click header and footer. This will allow you to manually enter stuff.

if you want to auto create something such as page number, etc... you can click insert, then autotext or reference, footnote.

hope this helps

Re: Microsoft Word Question

With the document open, go to toolbar:
'View' pull down menu and choose
'Header/Footer'

The header/footer box will appear in the document. Scroll down to the footer box, click in the footer box.

Then go to toolbar:
'Insert' pull-down menu and choose
'AutoText' and then choose
'Filename and path'

That's it.
