But how do you wash a wedding dress? Could it be done at home? Or do they have to do it professionally?

definitely get it professionally cleaned. they might steam it or press it, i'm not sure ....

I wouldn't do it myself...I don't think it is too expensive to have it done professionally.

I would let the dry cleaner do it-most of them will-Im sure its not outrageously priced to have it done
