Which is scheduled for next weekend.. yoga theme.. with 25 people invited...
but here's the problem....
i have a bad tooth.. like a really REALLY bad tooth.. long story short, root canal, temp cap, no perm camp, tooth got broke.. any time anything goes near it a deathening shooting pain goes through the side of my tooth up the side of my face and lodges itself in my head where it sits for hours until i am in the bed with my head of under the pillow crying for my mommy......
so i took off last week and went to the dentist who informed me that the tooth must go..
okay no big deal, i've had teeth pulled before..
but.. with the pregnancy i can't take any medicine.. no general anesthsia only local.. WHAT? your gonna pull my tooth out of my mouth and u're just gonna give me a professional grade version of orajel?
sigh.. what can i do? i can't continue with this kind of pain, but knowing I can't be put to sleep, and can't take any pain med over a tylenol after, i'mma need time to recooperate afterwards.. I can't take any days off this week because of ELA testing... and next weekend just so happens to be a three day weekend.. plenty of time for me to cry silently in pain and be in better condition by Tuesday after MLK day to return to work.
my mom and i have been tossing this around all weekend.. we see no other option other than to cancel the bridal shower..
i'll know tomorrow for sure.. i have to call the ob-gyn and get a doctor's note giving the dentist permission to pull my tooth, and then call the dentist and make an appointment..
i am more concerned about the pain than i am about the bridal shower.. but this really *****.. next weekend is gonna be the worst.. i need hugs..

Not that it will feel good, but it will be better than child birth

Im going to be honest with you here... When I was pregnant with my daughter, I HAD to get a tooth pulled... They told me the same thing about numbing me... Its not bad.. You still wont feel it... They can give you the shot of that numbing crap and they will probably give you like shots 3 of it, if I remember correctly... You WILL be just fine.... Trust me, I was the most neurotic person during my pregnancy and wouldnt take any chances with anything... But I did take the chance with the dentist.... I promise you will be fine!!! The only way the numbing wont work is if you have an infection in which they will give you antibiotics to take which will help get rid of the pain anyways... And then when you go back you will numb up instantly! Good luck!
