MIL's
i don't get them, well her anywayz.....she has never really been a mother, I mean she gave birth but she isn't a mom, not a good one anyway.....So anyhow since my FH is off in Iraq I have been being as nice as possible, calling her letting her know how he is, so she tells me 'don't call her, she'll find out about lenny if he calls her' well thats nice but I just was trying to make this situation better cause I know he calls me more than her, but oh well, her loss.
So then i am online and find an article published on 7-28-04 to a local paper, Suffolk LIfe, that is about my man
yea she submitted his info about going overseas and never bothered to tell me.I am so hurt and pissed! I would have put that into his military scrapbook but I can't the paper doesn't even have old copies that go back that far. :(
What would you do? I don't want to be mean or disrespectful, though she ALWAYS is, Im just so hurt. My emotions are already nuts with him in Iraq and now this

Re: MIL's
why don't you ask her for a photocopy. She must have kept one right.

Re: MIL's
I know just how you feel. I have been struggling with my il's forever it seems and there all out there, nasty, obnoxious you name it but everyone on the boards have been great in helping my vent. Could you photocopy the article from the computer maybe? How does you FH react to her crap? Have you ever told her how you feel with the way she acts? I wish you luck and if you need an ear FM me.

Re: MIL's
He is angry, but he is also in Iraq....there is nothing he can do from there. he says he is going to talk to her first thing when he gets home. She just hurts my feelings so often, he is tired of her making me cry.
I have a copy from offline but its just not the same.
I just dont want to be like this with the il's I never imagined that my family would be like this, I wish that we could get along better but I am tired of trying.

because she is a B*$C* and I refuse to speak to her again until he gets home. she shouldn't have hid it from me in the first place.

Re: MIL's
Have you tried contacting the paper? I'm sure they have copies. You might be able to work something out. Or try a local Library. Not sure how far back they keep newspapers, but it's worth a shot.

Re: MIL's
I'm so sorry, she's giving you such a rough time.
The sad part of it all is you could both (mil and you) use each other's support right now. I hope FH comes home safe and soon so you can be together and happy. I couldn't even imagine being in your situation, it must be so hard. Stay strong! I'm sure things will be fine.

Re: MIL's
So sorry you are going through this. I am dealing with a selfish IL myself. I know how hard it is when you bend over backwards and get so little in return. I would honestly say, keep the printed copy. You called the paper and asked if they had back copies? In the meantime, you have every right to be proud of FH. This may sound corny, but thank him for us for protecting us.
As far as MIL goes, you do need to think of yourself. If she is a toxic person, then I would give some space. You don't need her nasty attitude while you are stressed out w/ worry about FH. Lots of luck, just remember, don't take it personal.
