I am getting married there in October. I went to a wedding there quite a few years ago, I really liked it. I like that there is one wedding at a time.

I had looked into it but the min was 150 which was too high for us.

I am having my reception at the Miller Place Inn in February. I was at a wedding there several years ago and it was fabulous. Just to let you know, they told us the minimum was 150 and we talked them down to 115. HTH!

Wow thats a high min. They were really reasonable about that. I think mine is 140...but I have so many Im nervous about fitting them all! Im inviting around 200ish...and am hoping only to have around 170. I dont think you can fit more then that without being uncomfortable.

I am a MPI bride. We had a 135 minimum. Invited 240 and will likely have around 170. We love the place - one event at a time, and mostly one a day on many days. My sister got married there 13 years ago and 2 of my neighbors. It is so elegant, the food is great and the service is impecable. The bridal suite is also huge, not to mention the separate family area upstairs. When we went there to investigate our CH, the manager spent over 1/1/2 hours with us. We had already known that we were somewhat leaning towards them as our family has used them in the past, but he really took his time and soent a while with us, answering all of our questions. We picked to have our reception there on our first vist and our first stop on the catering hall search.
The grounds are beautiful also.

We looked there, but fell in love with the old field club in Setauket. My mom has been to 2 weddings there and said they were absolutely beautiful. She said the food was phenominal, and the staff was wonderful.

My best friend got married there 2 years ago and I just went to a wedding there last weekend. Both were really nice. I would be a little nervous about fitting 200 people, but I am sure it could be done. If it is a nice day, the outside CH is really nice. The bridal suite is really big. There is a lot of food at the CH. You won't be disappointed. I can't think of anything bad to say!

I just got an 8 piece calypso band for CH! I hope they fit outside!

I have two accoustic guitars for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Went yesterday to make my menu and choose my cake. They use a new bakery, Il Giordiano in Holbrook. I have actually heard great things about them.

How was the food?

Chef , bridal attendants, and MAtire D are all the same - they have told me this anyway. So, the food is the same.
