Miller Place Inn or Raphael??
Just saw both today--MPI first, which I was totally considering. The place is really nice and the price is phenomenal. Plus, I thought that Raphael was going to be totally out of my price range. BUT, Raphael gave me a great price too--still $15pp more than MPI--but so elegant and beautiful.
The problem is that it's so far out on the island and we have a lot of people traveling from out of town (and country). We were thinking about getting a bus to shuttle people from NYC to hotel, from hotel to church, from church to reception and then back to hotel at end of night. My mom is worried about people traveling in the winter (wedding is 2/21/04)
The other thing my mom is worried about is the menu...she thinks it's too sophisticated for most of our relatives. I told her I think she's underestimating people.
In the end it's my decision, but I don't know what to do!!! My fiance is in London and sort of left this up to me! HELP!
