Milleridge

Has anyone been to a wedding there and if so, what was your experience?

Re: Milleridge

I am getting married at the Milleridge Cottage...not the Inn, which is the restaurant.

I haven't been to a wedding there but know a few people who have and everyone has only wonderful things to say about it.

Wanna know anything specific?

I'm getting married at the Carriage House, I have not been to a wedding there though. I guess my main question is how the food is? Also, i wanted to see what people's experiences were there overall.

I've heard the food was GREAT! The Cottage and Carriage House has the same chefs...but the Milleridge Inn does not have the same one.

I am going in a few weeks for my tasting.

I know a few people who have gotten married here and I haven't heard one bad thing about it overall.

i had my shower at milleridge inn but have gone to many parties at the cottage - the food is awesome as is the staff. we have been going there for years and many of my family members use them for everything (the reason we didn't use them - we wanted ot be 'different'!)

its a great place! i love their bread!!!

I thought the cottage was beautiful. My minimum was only 100, so I would have had to have it in the Carriage House. It was nice, but I wasn't happy by the fact that the cocktail hour was outside, and there was no cocktail area inside in case there was bad weather. I'm doing it in November, so an outside cocktail hour was out of the question.

I'm not understanding...why would you have had to have your cocktail hour outside

I've been to 3 weddings there, 2 of which I was in. You have to get Steve as the maitre d'. He was amazing. He remembered me for each wedding after the first. The food was good and it is a beautiful place.

WE got married at the Cottage last year and loved it. We had been to a wedding there the year before and fell in love. The food was delicious and the people who work there so NICE! IF you have any questions let me know. I didn't have one complaint about the hall and would do it over there in a heartbeat!

Re: Milleridge

A few years ago my boyfriend at the time was the best man in a wedding at the Cottage. I went alone because he had things to do and the minute I walked in I knew that is where I wanted to be married. Later on that day I said to him...'I'm not exactly sure where you fit into this scenario, but this is where I'm getting married.' This July we are getting married at the Cottage.

The wedding I went to was amazing. The food was incredible and the service was wonderful. The bride and groom had nothing but great things to say about their experience there. The cocktail hour for a Cottage wedding can be inside. We are having our ceremony in the atrium and then they are changing the room over to cocktail as soon as we are done. I can't picture this but I figure they're the experts.

Good luck with your choice. We are dealing with Debbie if you need a contact. She is wonderful!

I am getting married at the Cottage next week and have heard nothing but great things about them. FI and I went to a wedding there about 2 years ago and feel in love with it. It was the only place we looked at. We had our tasting about 2 months ago and the food was great! I will be able to tell you more when we get back from the honeymoon on the 29th!!

Re: Milleridge

Just ask for different maitre d' other then Sam. If you do end up with him, make sure that he is instructed on EVERY LITTLE DETAIL! He is very confused and not really sure he is doing! Don't let him make any decisions for you! If your dress needs to be bustled, make sure someone in your party knows how to do it! My 'bridal attendant' Anna had no clue!

On the positive note: the food is very good and the place is beautiful and very well kept! If you have a special cake in mind- you are in luck! Their bakery can make anything! I brought them a picture of a cake I wanted and they created an exact replica, it was beautiful! (charged extra but it was totally worth it) Overall, Milleridge is very good choice!

Re: Milleridge

I had my shower at Milleridge Carriage House and my wedding at the Milleridge Cottage.

I was so happy that we had our wedding at Milleridge . I am stillgetting compliments from people on how great the food was and the service. Even my husband's family who is used to these big weddings had a great time and raved about the food.

We had Steve as our matrie'd and he was awesome. He took care of everything. If there was a problem Steve handled it and I didn't even know about it. Also my bridal attendant Julie was awesome. She helped me with my bustle, made sure we tried food from the cocktail hour and made sure my glass was never empty.

My shower was also a hit with friends and family. The carriage house is beautiful and once again the service and food were above and beyond any other place I have been.

Just an FYI - I have never been to a weddingor any type of function at Milleridge before my shower and wedding. When my husband and I went to meet with Nadine (obne of the banquet managers) we fell in love with the Cottage. Everyone of the girls in the banquet officeare dolls and tthey go above and beyond with planning your wedding.
