Hi everyone! Saturday is our first day of looking at a place for our wedding and I needed some opinions on Milleridge Inn and Larkfield Manor. We are looking to have about 100 people. Cant wait to hear!

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I was at a wedding at Larkfield in May! The food was sooo good! My FH still says it was the best wedding food he has ever had! The even brought around 2nds! THe Bridal attendant and hte staff was great to the BP right on top of our drinks and food and whatnot! The Maitre'D even brought us slippers when he saw that the BMs were taking off their shoes! My friend had a larger wedding so she had the bigger room with the Ch room that opens up to a terrace area and that was really nice! The viennesse hour was HUGE and delicious!

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I loved Larkfield Manor, which is why i booked with them. They have a romantic elagance to the place which I fell in love with. I am using the large reception and CH room. However, I have heard that the CH room for the smaller receptions is tight, but I haven't seen it.
Some people feel that the banquet mgr Frank is overbearing, but I think people have to remember that he's a salesman. His 'strong' personality didn't bother me. I advise you to check for yourself.
IF you decide to book with them, I have a coupon for $250 off on a reception of 100 people. It must be used by 2/28 and presented at contract signing. I can mail it to you.
Good Luck! FM me if you have any more questions.

My sisters reception was at the Milleridge Inn in the cottage. It was beautiful and everything was PERFECT. They really did a great job. The village is really cute for pictures

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
my fiance's sister had her wedding @ milleridge in the cottage. the matre'd was amazing always there when anyone in the family needed something. the food was very good and the cocktail room is soo pretty. My fiance wanted to have our wedding there but I couldn't imagine having it in the same place as his sister. it wouldn't feel original to me then...he thinks I'm crazy, if she hadn't had it there it would have been a big consideration for me

My didn't get a good first, second and thrid impression of larkfield. not sure what it was but we thought it would get better by going inside (not much to look at and do outside). Inside, the main room was very loooong. It was a nice room but long. Felt like i needed to do the mile run in high school to get to the other side. We still considered it based off price and the price didn't match what was offereed. The staff was very nice though

I love the Larkfield Manor but hey i guess I would Im am getting married there. The food is amazing it has always been. I have been to several affairs there and everything has always been great. The price is very reasonable and they do offer a great deal. Good Luck with your choices. Im sure wherever you pick your wedding will be perfect

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
100 people is too small for the Milleridge Cottage. However, there is the carriage house, which is where my wedding will be.
It different from alot of weddign palces. You walk right into the reception room. It holds 67-130 people. If its nice, they have the cocktail hour outside, otherwise its in the same room as the reception. It has sort of a country feel, but not too country.
Its the same banquet managers & food as the Cottage.

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I think that of all the places on L.I. to have a wedding Larkfield Manor is the most UNAPPEALING NON ATMOSPHERE place to have a wedding it remined me of something that might have been around a few decades ago. We went to a wedding there and the food was just ok Besides the fact that its right on a major road We did meet with the owner who tryed to act like some sort of tough guy Maybe that was the biggest turnoff.

I'm biased too...Milleridge Cottage all the way!!! Although, I think their minimum for the Cottage is 150.

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I have to say that the Larkfield Manor is MUCH BETTER!!
My fiance and I were very impressed with everything that is included with the $
Frank is a very nice guy, very helpful. We decided to go with the larger room, cause we are going to have probably more then 135 people. So if you really want to know, I would say the Larkfield Manor- 100%
okay?

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
What catering hall isn't on a main road, that should not be a deciding factor.
I looked at the milleridge, but since we were having a small wedding (100 people) we would have been in the carriage house. Cocktail and reception in the same room.
I grow up around the corner of the Larkfield Mannor, I have heard nothing but good things about it lately.
check out the watermill, they can accommodate a smaller party

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I was married at the Milleridge Carriage House and it was absoluetly perfect. Food, matre'd, service, room, flowers, my cake! I had 100 people and the room was the perfect size. The milleridge is great to work with and I definately recommend using their florist also.

Re: Milleridge and Larkfield Manor
I was married at Larkfield in August, I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it. All of our guests are still talking about how great the atmosphere, food and service was. I had 150 in the big room, and it was perfect-everyone had plenty of room, and they had a huge dancefloor. No one was crowded. I highly recommend them.
I did not see Millridge, so I have no feedback there
