Re: Milleridge Brides... Nearby hotels?
I think there is a Fairfield in right over there if you want very close. We are having out of town guests for our wedding at the milleridge and we have blocked rooms at the new Red Roof by the mall and at the Wingate. The wingate is very nice, and they have a complimentary b-fast buffet.

Re: Milleridge Brides... Nearby hotels?
we chose the holiday inn in plainview. it wasn't the closest, but it was the nicest. here is a list by distance.http://www.switchboard.com/bin/cgidir.dll?MEM=1&PR=108&LNK=&cid=29&C=Hotels+%26+Motels&L=&ABC=AbAddr2&SAS=0&A=585+north+broadway&T=jericho&S=ny&ST=2&Search.x=15&Search.y=7
the best close ones are ours and the fairfield in syosset.

The Wingate is on Stewart Ave right outside Roosevelt Field...I think it is considered Garden City. The Fairfield is in Syosset off of Jericho Turnpike. My planning is coming along well! I just spend four days on LI doing some major planning...but we got everything we needed done for now!

Thanks, Matt (Milleridge Groom - sorry!)
I think we'll end up w/ the Fairfield Inn.

Re: Milleridge Brides... Nearby hotels?
Kathi,The Fairfield was REALLY run down inside, they showed us a junior suite & I was horrified. The furniture in the room was very outdated. We went with the Holiday Inn as well, cleaner & nicer. There is also a Marriot Residence Inn nearby we blocked a few suites there as well. Good Luck.

Egads!!!
Thanks, Kelly!! My family always stays @ the Marriott, usually hotels, not Fairfield Inn or Residence Inn...
I'll have to look into the Residence Inn and Holiday Inn!!
Thanks again, everyone!!

Check out the East Norwich Inn. It is located about 5 miles north on Rt. 106 and Northern Blvd (Rt. 25A).We stayed there once. It is quiet and layed back. It is located behind Chas. Rothman's Steakhouse. Prices were reasonable, I think we paid $119.

Re: Milleridge Brides... Nearby hotels?
For our wedding we used the Holiday Inni n Plainview-- it was just redone and is beautiful--there are pic of it on our website-- ( I got dressed there and we took the before pics in thelobby)I stayed at the East Norwich Inn for another wedding and in my opinion it is a lot further and not as nice--but both worked
The Holiday Inn has suites(overpriced) I was in a special room(same rate but much larger)
Hope this helps

We are using the Wingate Inn...I am very picky about cleanliness and made sure to see every type of room. It is very clean and it is also only 2 years old...The suite we are staying in is the King suite and it is VERY nice ......our guests are paying 139.00 which I think is reasonable...They do not have a bar and restaurant but serve breakfast in there nice little lobby and there is a gym and hot tub. We were very pleased. It is only a few miles from Milleridge...around 10 minutes.....Hope this helps.
