Milleridge Cottage-feedback please..

Has anyone attended a reception at the Milleridege Cottage in Jericho? My fiance and I have a March date reserved but have not signed a contract yet. Anything I should know before we do? We wanted to avoid the wedding factories and capture the quaint feeling. Your comments please.

Re: Milleridge Cottage-feedback please..

The Milleridge is GREAT! I am having my wedding there in December. I am using the Carriage House since I am having a smaller wedding. They are wonderful to work with and it is so convenient since your cake and reception flowers are included with your package. I actually used to work at the Milleridge and just loved it so I decided to have my wedding there. I highly recommend it!!

Re: Milleridge Cottage-feedback please..

we are having our reception there but have never attending a wedding there. if you do a search you will bring up stuff. anything i have ever heard has been positive, which is part of why we chose it. someone just had a wedding there this past weekend and will be posting their comments next week i think. we absolutely love it for a lot of reasons, including those you mentioned. we have eaten at the restaurant there and also had an anniverasary party at the restauarant, so we know the food and service is great. any questions, let me know.

Re: Milleridge Cottage-feedback please..

I had my wedding there last year and everything was excellent. From the service to the food to the maitre'd to the banquet managers. The place is beautiful and I can definitely recommend it highly. They made our day great. Guests raved endlessly to my Mom...I think they have finally stopped, it's been a year and a half LOL Best wishes If you have any specific questions, definitely ask.
Edited to add: The kitchen in the Cottage is run completely separate from the restaurant but you need not worry, it is delicious. When it comes time to pick your menus, ask them to set up a date to come in to sample the choices. Thank God we went very hungry, they fed us so much! Also, they will make something special if you request it. I asked for chicken francaise and although it wasn't one of the selections, they were glad to substitute it.

Re: Milleridge Cottage-feedback please..

I'm a Milleridge bride! 10/20/02
I have been extremely happy with them, we are having our tasting on the 18th. We are having our ceremony in the atruim which looks beautiful when set up as a chapel. I feel that they give you a lot for your money & they have a great reputation to back it up. We originally wanted to do a mansion wedding, but our list was too big & I fell in love with the cottage! You are getting close enough to your date so that you may be able to get them to throw stuff in. I booked in April of this year for Oct. & they gave us a bunch of extras! I have digital pics in my bio, you can copy them if you'd like!
Good Luck!
Kelly
