Millridge Inn?

Hi,

I am looking into a sept2 006 wedding at millridge inn. I wondered if anyone had any feedback on the place or knew how much it cost. Do you think its to late to plan a september 2006 wedding? I feel very stressed about this. Please help!!

I would start looking if you have the time. I know it seems like you have plenty of time, but places book fast!

i'm having my wedding there - it's a very cute place, less expensive than many, and i've heard great things about the staff. my wedding's next may and we booked in january - i think you have plenty of time - all the places we looked at then had quite a bit of may availability and from what i heard, the summer months (june, july, and august) tend to fill up first, so you should still be just fine.

I'm getting married there June 5, 2005. My sister was also married there around the same time 5 years ago. Everyone raved about the food, the cinnamon breads that they gave to us in our package as part of the favor, and the beautiful cottage atrium where they have the cocktail hour. The setup is great so all of your guests can see you without craning their necks, the dance floor was a great size to accomodate everyone, and the help was great too. Not to mention the price was probably the most reasonable for what you're getting. Some places were outragous---like you're paying for the name of the place more than anything else (if that's what you want then go for it).

What is a typical price there? Also were the flowers included as part of your package? I am going this weekend to look at it all.

WE also looked at the Milleridge -and loved the place. They DO include centerpieces with their packages. I think we were quoted $106pp for the 2 star menu and $116 for the 3 star. My FH & I are not big fans of a lot of marble and huge chandeliers- so the Milleridge was perfect. It's very quaint.

i am getting married there this october- the place is beautiful- i think it is comparably priced to every place else- the flowers do come with the package and there are two packages a 2 star menu and 3 star menu- the 3 star gives you the vieneese (sp), intermezzo and some more choices of food- the flowers for the 2 star a 6 roses in a plastic bubble vase and the 3 star you get a dozen- you are able to use those other places or upgrade if you use the milleridge florist-

for a saturday night in october 05 the price for 2 star is 130 which includes the tax and gratuity and the 3 star was 147. what is great about he milleridge is they give you the price sheet and its the same for everyone who they see-

these were the prices for the 2 star when i booked
friday eve 84 + +
sat afternoon 75 ++
sat night 104 ++
sunday after 65 ++
sunday night 73 ++

i belive the the only months they discount are jan thru april

hope this helps

if you go to see them try and see Kristy she is a so nice

We are having our reception at the carriage house this september. It's def not too late to start looking. We got engaged in June/04, visited the milleridge in late august and booked on 9/9/04 (1 year from our wedding date!).

FH and I loved the milleridge b/c it's very quaint and since FH and I are very much into the early American colonial decour, the milleridge was perfect for us!!

eogara just got married there yesterday! You should look out for her review once she posts it!

Def. search through the milleridge thread, if you've got any q's, FM me! Good luck!

Thank you so much for the responses and the link that is so helpful. I really don't want to get married in a place that is too wedding hall like. I want something a bit different and this sounds great. I am looking forward to going there this weekend.

Re: Millridge Inn?

I booked my June 5, 2005 wedding in August 2004 and we were quoted $92pp for the 3 star menu. Maybe it was so much less than the prices already posted because it's a Sunday. Since we were repeat customers they also 'threw in' a cinnamon bread per person as part of our favor. They did for my sister 5 years ago and we asked them if they would do it again because everyone raved about them. The centerpieces for the 3 star menu come with the package--you get a dozen roses in a color of your choice in a bubble bowl. I asked for an upgrade of 2 dozen ivory roses and it didn't cost that much. You also get a dozen roses for your bridal table. I went through the Milleridge Florist to upgrade the table centerpieces, $100 upgrade for my bridal table centerpiece, and we did the staircase for (I think) about $175. It saved me sooooooo much money on flowers doing it that way. I went to In Full Bloom for my bouquets. All in all I'm paying only about $2000 for flowers, whereas some of my friends are paying between $4000 and $10000 because they had to buy their own centerpieces. I highly recommend the Milleridge because of all that they give you included in the package.

That is exactly how I felt. I wanted something different than the 'typical' run-of-the-mill hall - and the Milleridge was perfect. Good luck!!
