Here I am!! They're good! I can see 20/20, but theres still a little bit of a halo effect, which should go away soon. Also, my eyes are blood shot, but that should go away too. Its crazy to be able to see though! Reading street signs has never been so exciting.

OMG! Im so happy for you. Im pretty much legally blind when I dont have my glasses on. so Lasik is a DREAM for me!! When did they say the halo effect will be gone?? Also, someone told me your eyes feel like theres a little hair in them like the first day after the surgery. Is that true? Is lasik the procedure where they cut a flap?? Sorry for the hundred questions, Im just seriously thinking of getting it done before the wedding but Im such a chicken!

Omg that must be the best feeling! I had my eyes checked about 6 months ago, and I (of course) had a new prescription b/c my eyes get worse every year...I already cant see with my contacts in...I really want the Lasik and you might have just convinced me to do it!! I was always just worried about it b/c you only have 1 pair of eyes lol so god forbid something happens you're pretty much screwed! Im glad it all worked out ok and that you can see perfect...I'm so jealous

It is the best feeling to be able to read street signs. . .Congratulations!! DH and I had it done a year ago. We had the intralace (sp?) where they don't cut the flap. He had the scratchy feeling for the first 3 hours, I didn't. It was amazing. Where did you go to get it done? I went to Diamond vision and loved them!!

OMG i cant imagine being able to do that without the help of glasses or contacts..I have both and still sometimes have to sit on the edge of my bed or even the couch in order to see whats on tv. It's such a PITA...I realized driving at night isn't the best thing for me either lol

Re: MIMACAT!
I want to get lasik sooo bad but really don't want to spend the money -- especially with the wedding and saving for a house and honeymoon, etc. For now, contacts will have to do.
Heather, glad to see you are feeling good and that everthing was a success!

Re: MIMACAT!
Lets see. I had the kind where they don't use a blade - I guess the intralace? They use two lasers, one to make the flap and one to correct the problems. It really didnt hurt, and I dont feel like there are lashes in there today! The halos should completely go away w/in a few wks, but they're really not bad. FH and I both had it done and we're both feeling fine today. My eyes feel a little scratchy, but not bad at all. I highly recommend!!
