mini fox hollow review
Sorry it took so long to post this but this past week has been crazy!!! and sorry so long!!!
So last friday night FH and I went to a friends wedding at fox hollow! It's so wierd going to weddings now that i'm planning my own because i felt like such a critic so that i could give you guys a good review![]()
We did have an awesome time, so I hope noone gets offended by some of my comments, I'm just trying to offer everything I can to help make your weddings perfect!!!
So, when we pulled up, we valet'ed the car and since no one was around to tell us where to go, we walked to the outdoor cocktail hour (assuming thats where our party was). After walking around a few minutes and not recognizing ANYONE, we realized we must be at the wrong party... so we went inside and were then directed to the right party. Soooo, if there is more then one wedding going on, i would highly recommend making sure there is someone to direct people to the right cocktail hour!
Now i'm gonna start cocktail hour by saying I am a VERY picky eater and do not eat any seafood! So, for me, cocktail hour food was not that great... but thats because the majority of the food they picked was seafood - they had an amazing looking lobster station (pics in my album) and a lot of asian food (which all had seafood) so i stuck to the cheese station. I personally love pasta stations which they didnt have...JMO though! BUT - everyone that did eat seafood loved the food during cocktail hour! So aside from that, if any of you are having an indoor cocktail hour - there was not enough seats for people to sit in, so FH and I stood to eat... the problem was that there was nowhere to put our empty dishes when we were done so a lot of people piled them up on this ledge right next to the cheese station (and looked icky there) - so i would ask for a table for empty plates or make sure someones walking by a lot to collect them! The room itself was really pretty! I loved the fireplace & the setup though!
I dont know what room we were in for the reception to explain but maybe you can figure it out from the pics in my album? We were at table 11 and i think there were 12 tables in the room - maybe a bit tight in the room... but manageable! Both me and FH had the chicken and it was really good!! Very tender :) Everyone that ordered the duck was RAVING about how good it was too!
I tried to take pics of the menu and their centerpieces for you guys too! They had a band ( i think heart & soul maybe) that was really good!
I think it was a great place for a wedding! We definetly had a lot of fun... again i hope my critics will help and not offend!
