Mini Lombardi's on the Sound review
I went to a wedding at Lombardi's on the Sound in Port Jeff on Saturday, just thought I would report back for anyone interested!
It was SOOO hot that day, ceremony was in the afternoon outdoors and it was just unbearably hot (clearly no ones fault though). The ceremony space was nice but really narrow. And the tennis courts are right next door, so you could hear the tennis matches going on which was kind of weird.
Cocktail hour was RIDICULOUS. I've never seen so much food in my life. I tried a lot of different things, but my fave was the calamari. It was delicious! Everything at CH was delish. The CH room was a little cramped for the amount of people they had (prob around 200) and it was hard to get around.
The ballroom was super nice, not overdone but very pretty. They had gorgeous chandeliers. The service there was not that great though. Our server came around probably twice the entire reception so we had to go to the bar to get drinks (not the end of the world though!) But the bartender there was a raging biatch and didn't acknowledge anyone waiting for a drink at the bar and just chit chatted with the servers the whole time.
The dinner food was great though. I had chicken rollatini, FH had the pork chop, and he said it was the best he'd ever had. The chicken was a little dry, but I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where it wasn't!
The cake was super yummy too.
K, hope that helps someone in the future. FM me if anyone wants more details!![]()
