I would do NYC so that you dont have to drive far but thats just me because I hate driving for long periods of time. NYC is so much fun when you are a tourist. We were thinking of going for our mini moon and catching a show and getting dinner at carmines. If you do go to the city I highly recommend The Muse Hotel in Times Square. It is a great location to everything!

Re: mini-moon help
Niagra sounds so nice, but the traveling part is turning me off. If I was doing a mini moon I would probably look for a bed and breakfast somewhere out east on one of the forks.

Niagara is prolly my least favorite option, but its FHs favorite so we will see...we live out on the South fork and we are very familiar with both forks so we are trying to go the opposite way.

Gotcha. Well, I wouldn't choose that option then either!

I'm biased because I live close to the falls. But the Canadian side is amazing! You can enjoy the falls and then go to the casinos. If you don't like driving, consider flying southwest into buffalo airport. (If you open a southwest credit card, you get a TON of points - it's like 4 free flights.)

I voted for the niagra falls because i heard it was nice but i also have another suggestion, the poconos : cove haven resorts. really nice couples resort all inclusive, night time activites & day as well, pools in the room, fireplaces, breakfest in bed really nice!

How about cape cod or martha's vineyard? Even Boston is a nice weekend trip if you want to do something different. They both arent as far as niagra.

I say City because we live so close that you would NEVER stay over night in a nice hotel there for any other reason but a special occasion! Plus it is close so less travel time!
