Mini-Moon Poconos?

We are going on a honeymoon in March and wanna plan a Mini-Moon for after the wedding. We were thinking the Poconos, does anyone have any recommendations? Has anyone been to Cove Haven Resort recently? I heard it was nice for a honeymoon but from some of the reviews they say it hasn't been updated in years.
Any suggestions would be great . . .

Mini-Moon Poconos?

i go snowboarding there every year and we usually stay at a holiday inn or something because we are usually snowboarding /snowmobiling there's even dog sledding or hanging out in the town and stuff ....but i heard the inn at Pocono Manor is nice.... i have heard of cove haven and something seemed off about it so i never booked a room there

Mini-Moon Poconos?

Stroudsmoor Country Inn is beautiful. Gorgeous mountain views. Great restaurant. The suites, cabins, and cottages are the best accommodations.

Mini-Moon Poconos?

I have to wait to go on my honeymoon because I teach summer school and we decided to go to Cove Haven for our minimoon. All I'm going to say is....I absolutely would not recommend it! The food was not good, it's SOOO completely outdated and super cheesy and although the website makes it sound like there's a lot to do, there really isn't. It's super expensive (well we sprung for the champagne tower room) and I feel like it was such a waste of money. We actually left first thing on the last morning there just because we wanted to get out of there and we were just so done with the place. Spend your money elsewhere! I felt gross being there LOL

Mini-Moon Poconos?

I used to live in the Pocono's for years and my husband and I still have a summer/rental home there. For hotels, I would recommend the following places-Pocono Manor, Stroudsmoor Inn, Skytop Lodge, Mountain Springs Resort. Skytop and Pocono Manor are my two fav- very old world, castle like feelings. The food at both places are good and the customer service is great too. Mt Airy Lodge & Casino is beautiful too-even if you do not gamble, food and spa are great!
