They are actually gourds - you can buy them at Michael's but if you need a large amount for a project like you showed - take a drive out east and buy in bulk from a local farm.

Karin try the usual spots, michaels, AC Moore, Joannes -- I have been in those stores recently and ALL the fall stuff is out. I am going to Michael's tonight so I will check to see if they specifically have mini pumpkins.

Do you want real ones or fake ones? If fake ones, Id go to michaels, Joanns and even target.

but for real ones, Id go to that pumpkin farm in amityville.

They sell them at waldbaums (and other super markets) in the fall for about 50 cents each. Be careful w/ getting them too soon b/c they start to rott qulckly and smell like arse. I would buy them like a week ahead. Maybe your local store can order them for you if you need a bunch.

Try Sams Club of Price Club! Or out east where they have those farm stands! If you are looking for fake ones..Michaels has them!

I was going to do this! I think it's awesome idea. But like Christine said, wait until October 1 or so to buy them so they don't go bad on you.

I want to do this as well... the only thing holding me back is where is everyone going to put their pumpkins during cocktail hour?!

mini pumpkin link

I found this place on line- they sell mini pumpkins by the case- but it may be cheaper to just drive out east and find a farm that may have them too depending on the amount you need.

i got a fake pumpkin to put on our candy bar table- and i was thinking of having something like this on a couple of tables during the reception.

You could also try Schmitt's farm in Melville, I know they probably have them there too!

Karin the Michael's out by me did not have the little pumpkins. Lots of fall things and big ones but no little ones -- sorry.
