Mini-review on CHCC

Ok.... I am going to give you the good, the bad, and the ugly on CHCC. Though most of the ugly is because we had the ceremony there.

Good things, it was beautifully set up and the food was great even though vegan, and the room was great, though alittle too dark. My MD was great!

The bad and ugly

1) I dealt with way too many BMs though, the one I had that day remembered me talking to her about the cake.

2) They lie, lie, lie. And are really annoying. ok let me break that down for you. They tried to convince me it would be too cold to have my wedding outside. HELLO! (people think it is because of other weddings) They also origanally that you can take pics over all their garndens! Not if they are going to have all these other weddings. I could not leave the chaple space. They also lied to my FH/DH and told them that the reason the wedding was behind was because they were waiting on me. I was ready a half hour before hand! So it turns out the real reason we were 15 minutes late starting the wedding was because of them! This also negativly effected the seating of my guests it turns out.

3) The annoying part comes in when my BA and Bm first come in constantly trying to convince me to not have the wedding outside while I am trying to get ready. And... My BA kept coming in saying I had to hurry. it would be a hour before hand! My bridesmaids had to argue with her and say I only had to take my hair out of the curlers for G sake!

4) My BA never smiled. And evertime I said something she did not understand, she would say 'oookkkkk' you know what I mean.

5) They spent way too much energy trying to freak me out. It really peed me off.

Sorry you had to deal with CHCC as we thought about many of the things that you went though...now i guess we see they are true.

just to comment further about this matter, i would agree with Darcy about the lies. this is what troubled my DW and I. you thinking there were other weddings were correct. they juggle everything so you dont see any other brides. Just be careful what is said and not said. most importantly, get it in writing.

So sorry you had to deal with this. I ran into my own issues with them being dishonest. Get it in writing!!

Thanks for the quick review. I've had regrets about CHCC for a while now. I hope my day turns out okay. However, it sounds as if most of the problems concerned your ceremony. How was your reception? How did the Emerald room look? Thanks again for the review. I am biting my nails everytime a CHCC bride is gets married.

no report yet to give....spoke with leo yesterday and I'm meeting with him tomorrow night...I promise to have a full review....but if it helps my gutt is saying not to worry....

my day is almost here, and i'll give a full review.

Hey Ladies...came back almost 2 hrs ago from my meeting with Leo at CHCC....
and here's the good the bad and the ugly as Darcy puts it...
THERE IS NO BAD OR UGLY! My meeting with Leo was PHENOMINAL! I have no doubt in my mind they'll make my wedding reception run smoothly! I voiced all my concerns, told him what I've been hearing, the lies etc....he explained EVERYTHING to me!
I was there for a lil over 2 hrs. I can't think of a thing we didnt cover that I was worried about.
Menu picking was a success, I thought I knew everything I wanted, and Leo was FANTASTIC at helping me sort things out. He substituted things I wasn't happy about on the menu, suggested other things for me as well, and just made sure i was happy and EVERYTHING WAS WRITTEN DOWN!
I have to be honest, I haven't been excited at all about my wedding lately, more psyched about my honeymoon, and let me tell you I'M SUPER PSYCHED NOW ABOUT MY WEDDING DAY! After reading all this negativity lately, I too started second guessing my choice for CHCC....I know now I can STOP! I couldnt be happier that I chose CHCC. They have been utterly FANTASTIC! Grade A +++++ down the board from them....I'll be there quite more often as my day approaches and I'll let you know how things go!

I also chose my cake tonight, and my filling! So EXCITED! Going with the old fashioned Bridge Cake! Love that! Leo had to pull out his older books for me since its not something thats been done in many years, but its what I want and hes getting it for me.

So I hope this helps in keeping many of you calm and in better spirits about CHCC....I'm not worried in the slightest. If you have any questions, feel free to FM me....

Thanks Bebalina about for the review. I know I have been second guessing my choice of CHCC, but you have made me feel better. I am actually getting excited too. I keep trying to remind myself what made me love CHCC in the first place. However, I do agree with the other comment that just because someone had a different experience doesn't mean they lied. I am really excited for your big day! What is a bridge cake? I don't like filling so I think I'm not going to have any filling in the top layer and all the others will.

Oh, what room is your CH in? Are you doing the votive candles or slipper basket?

Oh what did you pick for your menu? Come on, spill the beans!
