Mini review West Sayville Country Club

My friend got married yesterday. It was an amazing day. This review is from my perspective as a guest at her wedding.

Parkway Community Church

Beautiful small church in Hicksville. a very personal church

Hampton Inn Islandia

This hotel was great. It was a convenient to get to and had great accommadations. The rooms were a little small but very nice. The free breakfast in the morning was really good; eggs, cereal, fresh fruit. We are booked here for our hotel block and are happy with our choice.

OOT Bags

My friend did an amazing job on these see pic below.

Flowers by Burtons

Her flowers (see pictures below) were so nice. The bok were full and lush and the centerpieces were elegant and so lovely. This is another vendor we are booked with as well and are happy with our choice after this wedding.

Shuttle/Limos - Coachman

I only went on the shuttle which was a 53 passenger coach bus...I am definitely going to look into doing this. It was so much more comfortable than a van. Granted it is only worth doing if you have a lot of people staying over night. They were very prompt. The only thing that happened with the limos was I believe one of them got lost.

Spin Around Sound (DJ)

They were nice not pushy. Everyone was dancing so all in all great.

West Sayville Country Club

Let me start by saying that if you are getting married at a Lessings hall you have nothing to worry about. The food and service was outstanding. Any cons I will give are more of a preference thing of my tastes and not anything that impacted the quality of event and my experience at the wedding. It was truly amazing. If you are getting married here you have to get the braised short ribs for the CH. They were our of this world.... I am seeing if my hall (Timber Point also Lessings) can get me these. The CH is half inside and half outside. The outside was actually cooler than the inside. There was a bar in each area. The Raw bar and fruit was set up outside. The hot chaffing dishes were inside. The only thing I was not a fan of was the the tables were on grass so my heels kept sinking into the ground and the little bit of gravel did get caught in my shoes. Not earth shattering , just not what I want for my wedding. But it was a very homey feel and was so beautiful.
we had a seat by the bar for dinner but the staff still came around and got us drinks and they were very helpful when FH accidentally spilled water all over me. The cake and pastries from Black Forrest Bakery were so yummy.

Park Ave Studio

I obviously have not seen any of his pictures but the photographer was on the ball and took a ton of pictures. He got a lot of candid guest shots too.

Feel Free to FM if you have any questions

Pictures too large in my albumn

They sat infront of the middle set of french doors between the diningroom and room with the dance floor it was perfect!

This is the biggest thing thats bugging me. If we sit at a table between the 2 middle french doors, then our back is to the dance floor. Id like to be able to see all the action even if we're at our seats. But I don't want to sit somewhere else and have tables with guests behind us and in front of us.

At the wedding I was at it wasn't an issue. The only time they sat really was to eat and no one was really dancing then.
