Yesterday was my response date, and I got none and have still not heard from like 30 people. Today (day after the day), i got 6 cards back and they were all no's. Including someone who said they couldnt come because they had a vacation planned that week. Hello? Obviously you knew you couldn't come then.
It just makes me mad, because they were people we 'had' to invite (OOT relatives) and there were people I would have liked to have invited but now I can't because it's too late. Ahhhhh, I hate people sometimes!
But, at least I got some so I shouldn't be too mad. ( i guess)

Awwwww i'm sorry!!!!! The whole invite process/guest list crapola just *****, that's all. My advice would be to ABSOLUTELY invite the people you would have wanted to invite, RSVP date be damned... I had a delay with printing so the actual RSVP date (Oct 26) is too soon to get anyone's cards back really, i'm telling everyone to ignore it :) HTH and don't worry, all will be well... (that's what everyone keeps telling me anyway!!)

the RSVP drama-rama has caused my mom to wanna smack a lot of people. Honestly, this wedding is most important to you and at the risk of sounding bitchy, to someone people its just another obligation that they will put off and off and off until you call them... crappy right?
We had an aunt that cancel about 3 days ago (well passed the RSVP date that she never even sent back) that says she won;t have money to come. Ummmmm, hi, we told you about this 9 months ago and it took you till now to realize you cant swing it?
Its true, it'll all work out an be okay though!!

Our wedding is in 18 days and we are still missing about 12 RSVPs. Most of them are family! I am assuming they are NOs. If they ddn't get it in by now I'm thinking they're not coming. I would invite whoever you wanted to. Maybe just add a personal note that you really wanted to invite them in the first place but had the obligation of family first. Most people will understand especially if they have been through this before.

Oh I feel your pain! When my response date passed we were missing 60 responses...and even days to the wedding they were still rolling in.. We also had 10 people who RSVP 'd yes bail on us within the week of the wedding!! Good luck!

Some people are so rude! We had alot of trouble with our RSVPs. It drove me crazy!! Almost 15 people on his mother's side did not send a response card back at all so I asked her to call and find out if they were coming. A few days later she called to let me know that none of them will make it. Guess what? Twelve of them showed up at the wedding and there were no seats for them. I was so angry!!! I wonder if his mother even bothered to call them?? Doubt it.... How disrespectful!!! Just try to go with the flow because the RSVP means nothing to some people. Good luck!
