mini vent

So I texted my brother this morning to see what he was doing today, I wanted to do something with my niece.

He calls me back like three hours later to tell me he is at Coney Island. I ask him who he is with and he says 'my whole family' meaning his MIL, DW, daughter, SIL and SIL boyfriend.

Um, hello? How is that your whole family?

awwww don't take it the wrong way...maybe he just wanted to do a day with the IL's, and he just might also call them his family but that doesnt take away from his blood family

Yeah, I could understand why you're sad but he probably just wanted to spend time with the in-laws....now if there was someone else there from your side of the family..that would be !

Yeah, I'm sure he didn't mean it that way!

my brother always leaves me and the rest of our family out when he says his whole family too.

i hope that doesnt happen to my FH when we get married. I want to spend even amounts of time with both families.

it's ok we all get like that at times, sometimes i get emotional over something stupid and i dont know why but it effects me lol

mine are 14 and 15 years older than me.
i think i get emotional with stuff like this b/c they have always been at differant points of their life so when all of a sudden they grew up and got married and had kids i felt kinda left behind.

i'm sure your brother didnt mean it the way it came across. sometimes people just don't realize what they're saying.
