I called for my marraige license today to see hours and what I need to bring - and the hours are mon-fri 9-3....
I told her I couldn't do that, I work, and she goes 'yeah, well most people do'
Why are some things only opened during 9-5 when I can't get there! I had this problem with my invites and my MOH had to get all the stuff for me b/c I was working
I'll have to send a stand in to get my license

We are all in the same boat.
I usually schedule multiple appointments on one day to maximize the day. If it doesn't work out, then I try to do a half day.

just told FH the same thing last ngiht that we are going to have to take a day off to go and get it.... they should at least have 1 late night or something

I don't know how we're going to get out license, I work in the city and FH works in Jersey. he's going to have to take some time off of work to come down to the city so we can go and get it. So annoying!!

We went for our license on a day that we had our final RH appointment in LI anyway, so I took a half day and we did both things at once. Saved me from having to take another half day.

I work near the town I live in so I asked FH to meet me there during my lunch hour, I don't have much time, saving it all for the HM and DD emergencies!!! It does stink that you will have to miss work, but maybe you can talk to your boss and go in late or leave early. GL

Islip Town Hall has night hours on Tuesday night until 7 I believe...

If you live anywhere near the Oyster Bay town hall buildings (we went to the one on Hicksville Road in Massapequa), they are open till 7 on the first and fourth Tuesday of the month. I believe there's another hall in Oyster Bay that is open the same hours as well.

Town of Islip has a late night on Tuesday's they are open til 7:30PM

I think we're all having that issue. FH and I scheduled next Tuesday as days off and will get our marriage license as well as have other wedding appts. that day as well.
