Does anyone know if you can change the minimum of people you are told to have? I need to have 150 for the estate at east wind and I am not sure I will have that many. I only want to go down to about 140-135.

You can ask... the worst that can happen is they say no! I thought our minimum was high also... but that meant a lower price per person and we got the room we wanted, so sometimes being a few people under is worth it!

Every hall is different. My hall wanted us to guarantee 200 and we got them to go down to 175. Other halls won't let you go donw, but if you don't make your minimum they will throw in some extras. You need to talk with your BM and find out if they're flexible.

The room we had the minimun was 150 but they went down to 120 only because it's a Sunday. We're still over the 150 anyway. LOL

At the Estate the normal minimum is 200, thats what they suggest. We got 150 also.. I would ask though, it doesn't hurt. hopefully they can work something out with you!!! Good luck

it depends on the hall, i had that problem and since my wedding is a yr away they really helped me, i got to keep the sat night and lower the min, they gave me 2 options and i do not have to decide which one until the end of the yr. It really does depend my place does one event at a time, so that helped. talk to them asap.

if it is a Saturday night sometimes tehy are more strict because they can get a party of a biggere size but a minimum just means that if you dont have that many then you will have to pay for that many anyway mayeb they will compensate you with an extra if you dont make it i would talk to your hall

I would asssk and see what they say. Russos on the bay came down 15 people for my friend.

My hall wanted 175 & we got them down to 160...It all depends on the hall...Sometimes though if you are only going to be 5-10 people short it is not too bad! After all the $$ you are spending, you are getting what you want! At least this is my philosophy!
