So this may not seem like a crisis to everyone, since I still have six months, but my original plans for hair and makeup fell through (no LIW vendors), and now I'm freaking because I have nothing lined up! I think I have someone for hair, but I'd really appreciate it if you girls would recommend your makeup people.

My hair dresser does hair & make-up and I'm paying him an hourly rate to come to my house in SI to my makeup and that of my bridesmaids. I know he travels to LI, he's doing my girlfriend's wedding at Fox Hollow Inn in June. He charges $250 per hour but he's worth every penny. I just had my hair & makeup rehearsal last night & LOVED it!!!!!!! I have pics if you're interested. For $250 per hour, he can work on up to 5 girls, so it might be a cost to split with your bridemaids. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you his contact info.

Try Tina at Robert James salon and Spa in Riverhead. You can go to the salon or she will come to you.

Fresh Face Forward. Their prcies are very reasonable and Stacey and Sabrina are great to work with. They really listen to what you are looking for, not to much they are tons of fun which is what you need on your wedding day.

Sachiko Yanase did hair and makeup for me, MOG, and MOB and hair only for most of my BMs. We were all happy with her work. She's worked on national ad campaigns too. FM me for more info.

i planned my wedding in 6 months and there were still alot of people available. u should try posting on the vendors helping brides page with your date and how many people are planning to have makeup done (since some have minimums) and see what replies you get. hope u find someone!!
